Exact details of this female artist are unknown. In certain sources she is referred to as Elizabeth Getrude Thomson, and it is known that she was a resident in Portland Grove, Manchester. However it may be that she is actually Emily Getrude Thomson, the children's illustrator who worked on the works of Lewis Carroll amongst other projects.
